How does it work?
Pilots sign up --> Employers search by aircraft --> Employers contact the pilot --> Pilots earn extra income
What pilots can sign up?
All pilots who have completed training in one of the aircraft listed on our search of pilots. 90% of all aircraft listed are business aircraft and 10% are airliners. Pilots may be captain qualified or copilot qualified. Some flight departments require a type rated pilot for insurance reasons and others do not. The better trained a pilot is the better chance they will receive phone calls from employers.
Can pilots who have full time jobs be members?
Yes, full time pilots are a very good fit for the web site. Often employers need a local contract pilot and this web site helps them find you quickly. Fractional pilots who know their schedules are also a great fit to the web site. Corporate pilots, retired airline pilots, and pilots seeking employment all are a good fit for Flycontract.com.
How much does it cost?
The fee to be a member is $98 per year. When you sign up you will be asked to pay via a credit card.
What is a full time contractor vs part time?
Full time corporate contract pilots can be found on the web site for most aircraft. These pilots do not have full time employment and they prefer to work for themselves. They often pay for their own training and insurance. Part time pilots have employment through one company but they seek additional employment through corporate flight departments to make extra income on their days off.
What employers use this web site?
Many employers use this easy search including charter companies, private flight departments, airlines, and job placement services. Employers often contact the pilots directly by phone or send an email request through our web site. Employers may also choose to list their job on our “pilot job board” and when they do this we email that job directly to the pilots who are trained in that specific aircraft.
What if I am trained in many aircraft types?
When a pilot signs up for Flycontract.com we allow each pilot to select up to 8 aircraft they are most current in. We only allow up to 8 aircraft as it is not often that the pilot is current enough to fly more than 4 aircraft.
Can pilots find full time employment on the web site?
Often corporate flight departments and charter companies do use the web site to locate full time pilots. This works great for all parties involved because the employers and the pilots get to try each other out of a trip or two. A pilot may also select a title to their profile that announces that they are "Seeking Employment". We see offers very often and we are positive this has helped many of our users.
